ABOUT CONTACT POINT BORDER COLLIES
The first litter of Contact Point Border Collies arrived in June 1999. Those pups started a breeding program that I'm very proud of.
It was an honor to have been named AKC Breeder of the Year for Agility in 2014. This award is given to the top breeder for all breeds in agility that year. It's only awarded one time per breeder and I was thrilled to be recognized.
After breeding Border Collies for more than 23 years in September 2022 I achieved the AKC Breeder of Merit Platinum distinction. To qualify for the Platinum level you must have bred a minimum of 100 dogs that have attained AKC titles with at least 60 of those dogs having attained a Championship. I'm excited to be the first and only Border Collie breeder to attain the Platinum recognition.
Contact Point Border Collies are living their best lives with their new owners in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, England, Germany, Spain, Russia and Japan.
The majority of the pups are performing in many different dog sport venues. Including Agility, Herding, Disc Dogs, Flyball, Dock Diving, Scent Work, Obedience, Rally, Tricks and as performers in the Canine Stars Stunt Dog Shows.
Our dogs are also wonderful companions that enjoy a variety of dog sports, hiking, camping and outdoor activities with their owners. They have also been much loved Therapy Dogs and Service Dogs for their owners.
Some pups will be better suited to different sports or lifestyles. We will work with you to determine the best fit for what you plan to do with your new pup.

I bought my first Border Collie "Dallas" in 1989 while traveling in Texas with my then 2 year old daughter Kate and my husband. Little did I know that Dallas would completely change the trajectory of my life and also my toddler Kate's life.
I was a newbie and was quickly told by friends that I needed to find a job for my new pup. I had been doing obedience and agility classes at a local community college with my Golden Retriever. Agility was in it's infancy in 1989 and I was lucky to get involved with people that were also very excited about the sport.
I have competed with my Border Collies in a variety of dog sports including Dog Agility, Herding, Flyball, and Obedience. My first Border Collie, Dallas and I were selected to be team members on four USA Agility World Teams competing in Spain, Austria, Belgium, and were USA team members of the first AKC Agility team that competed in FCI World Agility Championships in Switzerland. Dallas and I were also National Champions at both the USDAA and AKC National Agility Championships, as well as placing in the finals in other years. I have the good fortune to have had many very nice Border Collies in the past 30+ years with multiple agility champions in both AKC and USDAA agility venues plus titled dogs in herding, obedience and flyball.
I am proud to have started Contact Point Agility which was the first AKC Agility Club in Southern California in 1994. Contact Point Agility continues to offer AKC Agility Trials twice a year.
